The Llama Pen · No. 05
Autumn arrives not with a proclamation, but a whisper. The first leaves turn, edges yellowing, then orange, then red, like flames catching one by one. It is a season of quiet transition, of endings and beginnings intertwined.
Nature teaches us balance. In autumn, plants withdraw energy from leaves to store for winter. This is not death, but preparation. The world slows its growth to rebuild, to ready itself for the long sleep ahead.
The leaves that fall do not vanish. They become soil, nurturing the roots that will one day send forth new growth. This is the circle of life, visible in every season's change.
Autumn invites reflection. The world slows, the days shorten, and we have time to look inward. What has been harvested? What remains? What is ready to let go?
The colors of autumn are bold, yet transient. They remind us that beauty often comes in fleeting moments. To appreciate the season is to embrace its impermanence, its inevitable passage from fullness to rest.
